A juvenile Long-billed Dowicher was found at the north end of Webb's field in Kilcoole on the 7th of October representing only the third or fourth Wicklow record. It was observed feeding with several Dunlin and Knot, being quite wary times. It was not refound the next day.

Each evening from mid-August to mid-September several thousand terns use Sandymount Strand to roost. The majority are Common Terns , with smaller numbers of Roseate and Arctics also present. Usually one or two Black Terns can be found within the masses of terns.
